Single and Multiple Tooth Replacement
It is easy to understand why implants have enormous benefits. Dental implants can replace a single tooth, or several teeth, so patients no longer have to receive removable dentures, or fixed bridges. This can be advantageous because it eliminates the need to “cut-down” neighboring teeth, as is necessary with traditional bridgework, which can often lead to additional tooth decay, fracture, nerve damage or future dental breakdown. Also, in many cases, oral hygiene is unchanged, as implant supported restorations may eliminate the need for difficult floss threaders that are typically needed to clean around conventional bridgework. Finally, implants help preserve bone which would otherwise rapidly resorb after the loss of a tooth. Therefore, single and multiple tooth replacement utilizing dental implant technology is often the most predictable way to deliver the high degree of esthetics and long term predictability our patient’s desire.
Since 1993, Dr. Gouldin has been placing, and aiding his referring colleagues in the restoration of, dental implants. Our practice feels fortunate and quite honored to be able to say that we have performed periodontal surgeries and placed dental implants into the mouths of numerous area dentists, as well as their staff and family members.
