Clinical Staff
Hygienist
Mrs. Sima Jafarjalal is from Iran and is fluent in Farsi. Sima moved to
Northern Virginia in 1996. She graduated with honors as a dental hygienist from the Northern Virginia Community College Dental Hygiene Program in 2003, and
received the Clinical Excellence Award. Sima is passionate about helping her patients achieve and maintain optimal periodontal health, and she provides comprehensive patient education and preventive care in a pleasant and professional manner. Sima is certified to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide, and she has been the chief hygienist in Dr. Gouldin’s practice since 2003.
Dental Assistant
Ms. Munazza Jamil is from Pakistan and is fluent in Urdu. She graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Biology in 2008, and she has been working in the dental field since 2003. Munazza started her employment with Dr. Gouldin in 2004, and she has been his head assistant, focusing exclusively on periodontal and dental implant surgery, since 2005.
Administrative Staff
Office Manager
Mrs. Nicole Hummel is from Korea and is fluent in German. Nicole has been working with Dr. Gouldin since 2002, and she is directly responsible for all managerial aspects of the practice. In addition, she coordinates all financial activities for patients, and she can answer most any question regarding insurance and financing of procedures.
Hygiene Coordinator
Ms. Lisa Collier is a native Washingtonian and has been working with Dr. Gouldin since 2002. She graduated from Catholic University in May 2006 with a B.A. in Information Technology. Lisa is completely responsible for the front desk, and she coordinates appointments for patients with both the doctor and the hygienist. Lisa is also capable of surgical assisting when necessary.
